The Winery
Our Story
Nestled in Halkidiki, Greece, just a stone’s throw from Mount Athos, lies Domaine Agrovision.
Founded in 2011, our estate boasts 6.4 hectares of vineyards spanning the northern and southern regions of Xeropótamos. With unwavering passion and meticulous attention to detail,
we are dedicated to crafting wines of exceptional quality that delight both the palate and the soul.
Our vineyards, carefully selected for their unique terroir, are situated in small parcels just a short distance from the winery. The combination of sloping, sandy soil, optimal sun exposure, and refreshing sea breezes creates the perfect conditions for cultivating grapes of extraordinary character. This exceptional terroir is fully reflected in the superior quality and exquisite flavors of our wines.
Committed to environmental sustainability, we employ innovative practices to minimize our energy consumption.
A prime example is our pioneering underwater wine aging process at a depth of 30 meters. The unique conditions of the deep sea not only preserve and age our wines but also impart a distinctive, saline character.
Our Craft From grape to glass, every step of our winemaking process is executed with meticulous care.
Harvest
The harvest is the most exhilarating and demanding time of year. It’s a celebration of nature’s bounty and a testament to our dedication to producing exceptional wines.
Selection
Our grapes are hand-selected to ensure only the finest fruit makes it into our wines. We believe that human touch is essential in crafting wines with soul.
Destemming
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed to produce higher-quality wines. We have implemented a closed-loop system that recycles these materials back into our vineyards as compost.
Crushing and Fermentation
The grapes are gently crushed to release their juices, which are then fermented to convert sugars into alcohol and develop complex aromas and flavors.
Bottling
“Wine is bottled poetry,” said Robert Louis Stevenson. At Domaine Agrovision, we couldn’t agree more. As our wines age, they evolve into elegant, complex masterpieces.
